Hayden & Will

We really enjoy it when kids of all ages come at play at the farm. Hayden and Will are delightful and their mom only had one complaint about the portraits: there were too many great images to choose from! Sorry Lisa...

The answer to Lisa's dilemma? A beautiful hard cover portrait book custom designed with all the favorite shots. Check out the pricing document on the website to learn more (click on the information tab, then on pricing.)

Military Salute

The Country Camera Salutes the brave and selfless men and women of our nation's military. It's a small token, but to show our support and appreciation, we never collect a session fee from active military families. In adddition we adjust the cost of the family's portrait order to reflect a 30% savings. We think portraits that capture the emotion of both deployment and the soldier's safe return home are essential to the fabric of the family.

Our Friend Jamie Lynn Shelite has been serving in Iraq since last December and will arrive home later this week! We photographed Jamie, her son Taylor and daughter Paige before Jamie's deployment and can hardly wait for the homecoming portrait session.

I sent this final image to The Today Show as they put out a request for photographs of friends and family members serving in the military. It was part of a special "Call to Action" series that aired a couple weeks ago. If you caught any of the segments, you may have noticed an entire wall covered with photographs served as a backdrop for Ann Curry. This image is included on page one of the online gallery : Your loved ones in the military. It's really moving to see the collection of images. Here's a link: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/31048950/

We anxiously await your arrival Jamie! God Bless You and thank you for your service.

Cassidy Jean

Never have I had to be concerned during a newborn portrait session that the infant would practically roll over...Meet Cassidy Jean. She was 2 weeks and 2 days old at the time of this portraiture. She didn't find it necessary to sleep during our time together and at one point, she dug her little feet in and scooted herself forward on her tummy. As beautiful as she is active, look out world, here comes Cassidy!

Fabulously Fit

I'm working on a project that involves photographing fabulously fit bodies.

There's such power and satisfaction in taking care of ourselves. A big thank you to my friends who helped me create the first images of the collection. I'm working with fitness centers in an effort to provide some great artwork for their walls.

If you work hard to stay in great shape, and would be interested in fitness portraiture, please call The Country Camera at 612-578-6777.

Happy Birthday Grant

Grant is a good friend of ours and he turns 14 on Sunday. He is a terrific kid with great character and a big heart. He is nearly a Black Belt and studies karate at National Karate School http://www.nationalkarate.com.
Just a few short years from now, we'll be making his senior portraits as he graduates from Hopkins High School in 2012.
Seems like yesterday that I took these shots of him.
